Know the Signs is a suicide prevention social marketing campaign built on three key messages: Know the signs. Find the words. Reach out. This campaign is intended to educate people on how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, how to find the words to have a direct conversation with someone in crisis and where to find professional help and resources. You can be a part of this campaign and other suicide prevention efforts by joining the Know the Signs Campaign.
Pain isn’t always obvious, but most people show some signs that they are thinking about suicide. If you see even one warning sign, step in or speak up. Take the time to learn what to do now, so you’re ready to be there for a friend or loved one when it matters most. By recognizing these signs, knowing how to start a conversation and where to turn for help, you have the power to make a difference and possibly even save a life.
