We will be offering many educational opportunities for family members in the coming year. Examples may include workshops on recovery and resiliency, boundaries and self-care, suicide prevention, SAMHSA’s version of WRAP, mental health parity, and consumer rights and responsibilities.
Do you have a specific presenter or workshop in mind? We’d be happy to do the leg work to bring behavioral health education and awareness to your community! Depending on the activity and required resources, we can help coordinate behavioral health trainings, workshops, and webinars for your audience. We welcome ideas and partnerships to bring opportunities to your area! Feel free to email us about activities you may be offering or are interested in!
NAMI Family to Family Classes
NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 11-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people living with mental illness. It is a designated evidenced-based program. Research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to an individual living with a mental health condition.
